Crispy Twisted Potatoes

The crispiest potatoes ever baked in the oven with garlic butter – they are really popular on TikTok.

A little tip: If you want to make them with a skewer, it may be a good idea to bake the potatoes for 5-10 minutes first, because then it’s much easier to stick the skewer through the potatoes.

Kartofler for 4 persons
Preperation 25 min. / Cooking 40 min. / Total 1 t.

Ca. 4-5 large baking potatoes

Garlic butter

50 g butter, melted

2 tbsp. olive oil

1 tsp. oregano, dried

1 tsp. paprika

1 tsp. onion powder

1 tsp. salt


1 clove garlic, crushed

1 handful fresh parsley, chopped


Crispy Twisted Potatoes

Wash the potatoes well and leave the skins on. Cut each potato into 4-5 slices on the long side. Place each slice between two skewers and cut them vertically (without cutting through the potato). Then turn the slice of potato over and cut it across. Submerge the sliced potato in water for 30 minutes.

Heat the oven to 220 C convection

Garlic butter

Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl.

Dry the potatoes thoroughly and lay them on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Brush with garlic butter and bake them in the oven for about 40 minutes or until the potatoes are crisp and golden. Serve immediately. Enjoy!
