Fluffy American pancakes




Pancakes (about 15-16 pieces)

3.5 dl flour

2 tsp. baking powder

½ teaspoon. baking soda

1 tbsp. sugar

A little pinch of salt

The grains from 1 vanilla pole

3.5 dl butter milk

2 eggs (divided into whites and yolks)

Butter for frying


How to do it:

Mix flour, baking powder, sugar, salt and vanilla together in a bowl. Whip egg yolks and butter milk in. Mix the baking soda with a little bit of buttermilk and mix it with the dough. In another bowl whisk the egg whites stiff. Gently turn the whites in the dough without striking the air. Bake the pancakes on a pan in butter. Serve the pancakes with, for example, syrup, butter, berries, nutella or dulce de leche. Bon appetite!
