Crispy onion rings

Hi! My big sister, Frederikke, has once again allowed to share a recipe with you. Last time, I shared my deliciously creamy mushroom risotto. Today, I’m sharing my crispy onion rings, which are one of my favorites. I love onion rings and have told Frederikke repeatedly that we should make some, and since she made both Chili cheese tops and Donuts this week, it was time for the frying oil to be used for onion rings. The recipe is actually super easy and really hyggeligt when you make them with friends. I made a little chili mayo too, since it belongs with onion rings. Hope you like them! Enjoy, Alberta.

Crisy onion rings

Instructions

Crisy onion rings

Cut the onions into 1 cm thick rings. Toss them in the flour, eggs and then the bread crumbs (seasoned with salt and pepper).

Heat the oil in a pot to around 170 C. Dip a toothpick into the hot oil—if it sizzles and bubbles around it, the oil is warm. Fry the onion rings for about 2 min. They need to be golden, but watch out—they can turn brown very quickly! Place them on a dish lined with kitchen towel. Let them cool a little and then serve them immediately. Enjoy!
