Chocolate chip cookie bars with nutella. There is nothing more cozy and family-like than baking cookies, and I think most people love to put a finger in the bowl and taste the raw cookie dough … yummi! I have many memories from when I was a kid, and was with my mother in the kitchen and baking cookies and all the other goodies. This recipe is a cookie dough baked in a baking dish and cut into bars instead of the traditional cookies that are round. I have made these bars with nutella and milk chocolate, but it also tastes delicious with creamy peanut butter and dark chocolate or with caramel, peanuts and chocolate. These cookie bars are very simple and super easy to bake. Enjoy!
Chocolate chip cookie bars with nutella (about 20-24 pieces):
300 g butter, room temperature
150 g sugar
100 g brown brown
1 small nip salt
2 tsp. vanilla sugar
250 g wheat flour
2 tsp. baking soda
200 g of milk chocolate, chopped or in chips e.g. from Callebaut
100 g of nutella
Chocolate chip cookie bars with nutella:
Turn the oven on 175 C hot air. Beat butter, sugar and brown sugar light and airy. Beat the eggs in one at a time. Mix salt, vanilla sugar, wheat flour and baking soda together in a bowl and whisk it in the dough. Then add the milk chocolate (save a little to sprinkle on top of the dough) and stir it well in the dough. Spread the dough in a mold lined with baking paper. Spread the nutella with a spoon around the dough and finally sprinkle the rest of the milk chocolate in addition. Bake the cake for approx. 22-24 minutes. Let the cake cool and then cut it into suitable pieces. Bon appetite!
