Banana cake in a cup
A recipe for a banana “cup” cake that’s baked in a cup in the microwave.
Just make sure the cup is microwave safe!
Ingredients
Banana cake in a cup (makes 2 cups)
1 banana, preferably overripe
80 g butter, melted
2 eggs
50 ml buttermilk
1 tbsp. maple or simple syrup
150 ml brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 little pinch of salt
100 ml flour
1/2 tsp. baking power
100 g large chocolate pieces, milk or dark chocolate, keep a little to sprinkle on the cakes

Approach
Banana cake in a cup
Mash the banana with a fork and, in a bowl, mix it into an even batter with all the other ingredients. Add the chocolate. Divide the batter between 2 microwave safe cups. Bake one cake at a time in a cup in the microwave for 1-1.5 minutes. The cake needs to be soft so don’t let it cook too much. Decorate the cakes with the extra chocolate pieces and whipped cream. Enjoy!
