Happy December 24th. The last door on my advent calendar here on the blog offers chocolates with marzipan and cherries. These chocolates are really easy and quick to make if you’d like some candy to snack on tonight. I dipped the marzipan in dark chocolate, but you can use milk chocolate or white chocolate, too.

Konfekt med marcipan og kirsebær
Chocolates with marzipan and cherries (makes about 12)
A little confectioner’s sugar
300 g marzipan
A few spoonfuls of preserved cherries
200 g dark chocolate
Sliced almonds in, e.g., gold dust
Chocolates with marzipan and cherries
Sprinkle some confectioner’s sugar on a surface and roll the marzipan out flat. Place the cherries in the center of the marzipan and roll it into a long sausage. Cut it into approx. 12 equal pieces.
Melt the chocolate in a double boiler and dip the marzipan pieces in it. Sprinkle sliced almonds on top and refrigerate the chocolates until they’ve set. Serve the chocolates. Enjoy!
