Chocolate cake in a cup

A recipe for a chocolate “cup” cake baked in a cup in the microwave.

Just make sure the cup is microwave safe!

Chokoladekage for 2 persons
Preperation 5 min. / Cooking 2 min / Total 7 min.
Ingredients

Chocolate cake (makes 2 cups)

80 g butter, melted

2 eggs

3 tbsp. strong espresso

1 tbsp. maple or simple syrup

150 ml brown sugar

1 tsp. vanilla sugar

1 little pinch of salt

100 ml flour

1/2 tsp. baking powder

3 tbsp. cocoa powder

100 g large chocolate pieces, milk or dark chocolate, keep a little to sprinkle on the cakes

Extras

2 scoops vanilla ice cream

1 handful fresh raspberries

Approach

Chocolate cake
Stir all the ingredients into an even batter together in a bowl. Add the chocolate. Divide the batter between 2 microwave safe cups. Bake one cake at a time in a cup in the microwave for 1-1.5 minutes. The cake needs to be soft so don’t let it cook too much. Decorate the cakes with the extra chocolate pieces, ice cream and raspberries. Enjoy!
