Baked chocolate in shortcrust pastry – A recipe for mouth-watering baked chocolate in shortcrust pastry.
All you need is shortcrust pastry and your favorite candy bar. I used a Fazer Dumle chocolate bar.
Ingredients
Shortcrust pastry
100 g butter, cold and cubed
125 g all-purpose flour
75 g confectioner’s sugar
1 egg yolk
1-2 slabs/bars of chocolate
Approach
Shortcrust pastry
Crumble the butter into the flour in a bowl until it seems like breadcrumbs. Add the confectioner’s sugar and eggs and knead together into a uniform dough. Refrigerate the dough for 1 hour.
Heat the oven to 175 C convection.
Then divide the dough in 2. Roll out each piece in a little flour on a sheet of baking paper so the dough is the right size for the chocolate slabs/bars. Place the chocolate slabs/bars on one piece of dough and place the other piece of dough on top. Make sure the entire chocolate is covered in dough. Cut any excess dough away.
Transfer the baking paper to a baking tray and bake the chocolate in shortcrust pastry for 15-20 minutes. Let it cool a bit before slicing it into 12-14 pieces. Enjoy!
