Preheat the oven to 175°C (fan).
Cream together butter, sugar, and vanilla sugar. Add one egg at a time while continuing to beat. In a separate bowl, mix flour and baking powder, then add it to the batter along with sour cream. Fold in the diced apples.
Cinnamon crumble/streusel
Place all the ingredients in a saucepan. Melt them together over low heat until it forms a crumbly mixture.
Line a baking dish (approximately 22×30 cm) with parchment paper and pour the batter into the dish. Sprinkle the cinnamon crumble on top of the batter.
Bake the cake in the oven for about 35 minutes. Allow the cake to cool before serving. Enjoy!
