Apple cake with streusel – Recipe for moist cake with apples and crispy cinnamon crumble. This cake is super delicious and simple. The cake consists of a moist cake batter with diced apples. On top of the batter, cinnamon crumble is sprinkled, also known as Streusel. Streusel is a crumbly topping made of flour, butter, sugar, cinnamon, and salt. It can be added on top of cakes or inside the batter. It tastes wonderful and pairs perfectly with the apples in the batter.

Instructions

Apple Cake

Preheat the oven to 175°C (fan).

Cream together butter, sugar, and vanilla sugar. Add one egg at a time while continuing to beat. In a separate bowl, mix flour and baking powder, then add it to the batter along with sour cream. Fold in the diced apples.

Cinnamon crumble/streusel

Place all the ingredients in a saucepan. Melt them together over low heat until it forms a crumbly mixture.

Line a baking dish (approximately 22×30 cm) with parchment paper and pour the batter into the dish. Sprinkle the cinnamon crumble on top of the batter.

Bake the cake in the oven for about 35 minutes. Allow the cake to cool before serving. Enjoy!
