The best marble cake!

I started my day with brunch at MASH with a friend. Afterwards I met my family for a late lunch. Lovely sunday.

A few weeks ago, I asked, on my Instagram, whether you were interested in getting the recipe for the best marble cake! There were a lot of people who answered YES PLEASE, and I understand that. Marble cake is a sure winner, and it reminds me so much about childhood, as it was such a good cake to share on your birthday at school. Many may associate marble cakes with a dull dry cake, but when made from good ingredients and eaten freshly baked, it’s a delicious Here is the recipe for a luxury version:


Luxury marble cake:

250 g butter, soft

250 g sugar

4 eggs

250 g wheat flour

1 tsp. baking powder

2 tablespoons cocoa

3 tablespoons cream

50 g chopped dark chocolate

Chocolate layer:

150 g dark chocolate

25 g butter



Luxury marble cake:

Whip egg and sugar light and airy. Add the eggs one at a time and whip it thoroughly. Mix flour and baking soda together and put it in the dough and turn it into the dough. Take 1/3 of the dough from and add cocoa, chocolate and cream. Distribute half of the light dough into a greased baking sheet (1 ½ L). Lay the cocoa dough on and benefit the rest of the bright dough upstairs. Take a small tip knife or a grill needle and stir it through the dough so that the dough becomes “marbled”. Pour the cake in a preheated oven at 170 ° C for approx. 1 hour. Let the cake cool off.

Chocolate layer:

Melt chocolate and butter in a saucepan. Distribute the chocolate over the cake and cut the cake into slices. Bon appetite!
