Marzipan muffins with Frosting – Recipe for easy, moist, and delicious mazarin muffins with cream cheese and cocoa frosting. These muffins are so good and really easy to make. The muffins consist of a mazarin dough with orange zest, baked in muffin tins. Then, they are topped with the most delicious frosting made from butter, powdered sugar, cocoa, cream cheese, and whipping cream. The frosting recipe is from the best chocolate cake baked in a sheet pan.
These muffins are perfect to bake the day before serving, as they become wonderfully moist when kept in the refrigerator. They can also be frozen (without the frosting) and then thawed when needed. I’ve baked them in silicone molds, but they can also be baked in regular paper liners. Enjoy!

Bake the muffins for about 15 minutes.
Allow the muffins to cool.
Frosting

Add the cream cheese and mix it well.
Combine cocoa powder, powdered sugar, and vanilla sugar, then gradually mix it into the mixture.
