Hytteost Pizza – Recipe for an easy and delicious pizza crust made with just three ingredients: cottage cheese, eggs, and wheat flour. This pizza crust is a slightly healthier and more protein-rich version than the classic crust. The crust is made simply by mixing cottage cheese with eggs and wheat flour. The dough is spread out on a baking sheet with parchment paper and baked until golden. Afterward, you can top the pizza crust with your choice of toppings. In this version, I’ve used tomato sauce and mozzarella on the crust, baked it for an additional 10 minutes, and then topped it with pesto, fresh tomatoes, fresh spinach, and grated parmesan.
This cottage cheese pizza crust is super easy and quick to make. It’s not like a classic pizza crust as it doesn’t become as airy or crispy. However, it’s great if you’re looking to make something with fewer calories and more protein. I use cottage cheese with 1.5% fat, but you can also use the 4% fat version. The wheat flour can be substituted with whole-grain flour or gluten-free flour.
