Chocolate truffles with condensed milk

Happy December 18th. Today comes a recipe for the world’s easiest chocolate truffles made from condensed milk, butter, chocolate and cocoa. These truffles are actually called Brigadeiros and are Brazilian chocolate truffles. The truffles have a slightly caramel-like texture. They taste wonderful as they melt on the tongue. Use either milk or dark chocolate. They can probably also be made with white chocolate, but you need to leave out the cocoa powder then. I rolled the chocolate truffles in cocoa powder and finely chopped hazelnuts, but you could try freeze-dried berries or berry powder. Enjoy!

Chokoladetrøfler med kondenseret mælk

Små søde sager for 10-12 persons
Preperation 10 min. / Cooking + 12 t. / Total + 12 t.
Ingredients

Chocolate truffles (makes about 30)

1 tin condensed milk

175 g milk or dark chocolate

75 g cocoa powder

15 g butter

Extras

Cocoa powder and finely chopped hazelnuts to roll the truffles in

Approach

Chocolate truffles

Put all the ingredients in a pot and mix them all as you stir on a low low heat. When the chocolate and butter have melted and the mixture has become thick and releases from the bowl, take the pot off the heat. Put the mixture in a bowl and refrigerate it for a minimum of 2 hours, but preferably until the next day. The mixture has to be hard and malleable.

Roll the mixture into about 30 truffles and roll them in, e.g., cocoa powder or hazelnuts. Store the truffles in the fridge until you’re ready to serve them. They’ll last for a few weeks in there. Enjoy!
