Chocolate pudding with eggs – Recipe for an easy and delicious high-protein chocolate mousse made with whole hard-boiled eggs. It might sound a bit strange to use hard-boiled eggs in a chocolate dessert, but it tastes amazing and gives the mousse a wonderfully creamy texture.
The mousse is made by blending whole hard-boiled eggs with melted dark chocolate, cocoa powder, milk, vanilla sugar, honey, and a pinch of salt until smooth and creamy with no lumps. The mixture is then poured into serving glasses and chilled until set and firm — the texture resembles a rich chocolate pudding.
I topped the mousse with lightly whipped cream, chopped pistachios, and shaved chocolate. I was honestly skeptical when I first saw this recipe trending on social media, but I was pleasantly surprised — you can’t taste the eggs at all! I use whole milk, but any milk works fine. You can also adjust the amount of vanilla sugar or honey to taste.
The mousse can easily be made a day in advance or just a few hours before serving. Enjoy!

Place the eggs in a saucepan, cover with water, and bring to a boil with the lid on. Once the water boils, cook the eggs for about 8 minutes until they are hard-boiled.
Drain the hot water, rinse the eggs in cold water, and peel them. Let them cool.
Add the boiled eggs to a blender along with melted chocolate, milk, cocoa powder, honey, vanilla sugar, and salt. Blend until smooth and creamy with no lumps. Divide the mousse into 4 serving glasses and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
Top the mousse with whipped cream, chopped pistachios, and shaved chocolate. Enjoy!
