235 g butter, soft
300 g sugar
2 tsp. vanilla sugar or vanilla paste
4 whole eggs
2 egg yolks
300 g all-purpose flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 little pinch of salt
200 g whole milk
150 g milk chocolate, melted and cooled
200 g butter, soft
150 g confectioner’s sugar
25 g cocoa
50 ml cream or milk
Heat the oven to 180 C convection.
Line a cake tine about 30 x 40 cm with baking paper.
Whisk the butter, sugar, and vanilla sugar until light and fluffy in the bowl of a food mixer (it’s best to use the k-hook of the mixer). Put the whole eggs and egg yolks in a bowl. Pour one egg into the butter mixture at a time while whisking. Mix the all-purpose flour, baking powder and salt in a bowl. Alternate pouring the flour mixture and milk into the mixing bowl while whisking at low speed. Beat well so that the batter has no lumps. Pour the batter into the cake tin and bake the cake for about 20-25 min. Allow the cake to cool.
Melt the chocolate and let it cool.
Whisk the butter lightly. Add the confectioner’s sugar and cocoa and whisk well. Add the cooled chocolate and cream alternately while whisking.
Spread the frosting on the cake and refrigerate until the frosting has set. Serve the cake. Enjoy!
