Nougat bites with almond

Nougat bites with almond – A recipe for the easiest Christmas treat that only requires three ingredients. These nougat bites, also known as Viennese nougat, are made with just nougat, milk chocolate, and almond slivers. The nougat and milk chocolate are melted together, and almond slivers are mixed into the mass. The mixture is poured into a mold, chilled, and then cut into small pieces.

If you can’t find almond slivers, you can blanch whole almonds yourself and cut them into the appropriate size. Alternatively, replace the almonds with roasted and finely chopped hazelnuts. Instead of milk chocolate, you can also use dark chocolate. When I served these to my family, they all agreed that the nougat bites taste almost like the filling inside a Ragusa, for which I also have a recipe here.

The nougat bites can easily keep for a couple of weeks in a container in the fridge. Enjoy!
