Lemon truffles with liquorice

Lemon truffles with liquorice – Recipe for easy and delicious truffles with lemon zest, liquorice powder, white chocolate, and condensed milk. These truffles, called Brigadeiros, are Brazilian chocolate truffles. Their texture is slightly caramel-like, and they taste divine, melting in your mouth.

These truffles are incredibly easy to make and inspired by my recipe for chocolate truffles with condensed milk. Here, I’ve made a variation with white chocolate, finely grated lemon zest, and liquorice powder. The ingredients are melted together and then chilled until firm and moldable. While I suggest letting the mixture chill for at least 2 hours in the recipe, it’s even better to leave it overnight.

The truffle mixture is shaped into balls and rolled in coconut flakes mixed with raspberry powder. You can also roll them in other coatings, such as finely chopped pistachios or hazelnuts.

Instructions

Place the ingredients in a saucepan and melt everything together over low heat while stirring.

When the chocolate and butter have melted and the mixture has thickened enough to pull away from the sides of the bowl, remove the saucepan from the heat. Transfer the mixture to a bowl and chill for at least 2 hours, or preferably overnight. The mixture should become firm and moldable.

Shape the mixture into approximately 16 balls and roll them in coconut flakes mixed with raspberry powder, or any coating of your choice. Store the truffles in the fridge until ready to serve. They can be kept refrigerated for a couple of weeks. Enjoy!
