Ice cream cake with ice cream sandwiches

Ice Cream Cake with Ice Cream Sandwiches – Recipe for ice cream cake made with ice cream sandwiches, chopped chocolate, and strawberry sauce.

This ice cream cake is so easy to make and will delight the whole family. It’s made from store-bought ice cream sandwiches layered in a pan with an ice cream mixture of whipped cream, condensed milk, and chopped dark chocolate. The whole cake is frozen and then served with homemade strawberry sauce.

It looks beautiful when sliced, as you can see the layers of ice cream sandwiches and creamy filling.

The recipe is super simple, and instead of using ice cream sandwiches, you can also use milk slice cakes, which taste amazing when frozen. The strawberry sauce can either be drizzled over the cake or served on the side so everyone can choose how much they want. Instead of strawberry sauce, you can also use chocolate sauce if you want an extra chocolatey version. Enjoy!

Instructions

Pour the heavy cream, condensed milk, and vanilla sugar into a bowl and whip until you have a soft whipped cream. Gently fold in the chopped chocolate (save a little of the chocolate to sprinkle on top).

Line a pan of about 20×20 cm with baking paper (see the recipe video, if available). Arrange the ice cream sandwiches so they cover the bottom. Spread half of the ice cream mixture evenly over them. Repeat with another layer and sprinkle with the remaining chopped chocolate. Place the cake in the freezer for at least 6 hours, preferably overnight.

Take the ice cream cake out of the freezer 15 minutes before serving and cut it into squares. Serve with strawberry sauce. Enjoy!
