Confection with nougat and peanuts

Confection pieces with nougat and peanuts – Recipe for confection pieces or nougat bites with dark chocolate, almonds, nougat, and salted peanuts. These confection treats are incredibly easy and delicious. They consist of a base layer of dark chocolate with almonds, a middle layer of nougat with salted peanuts, and a top layer of dark chocolate with freeze-dried raspberries. They are reminiscent of Ragusa, a chocolate bar with chocolate, nougat, and hazelnuts, and I actually have a recipe for that right here.

These nougat bites are perfect to serve as confection during the holiday season. When cutting the confection pieces, it’s essential to use a sharp warm knife, perhaps a serrated knife, to ensure cleaner cuts without crumbling. You can experiment with different types of chocolates, nuts, and freeze-dried berries to make them exactly as you like. The confection pieces can easily keep for 1–2 weeks in a container in the refrigerator. Enjoy!

Melt the chocolate in a bowl over a water bath. Stir in the chopped almonds and pour the mixture into a 20×20 cm pan lined with parchment paper. Place it in the fridge until the chocolate hardens.

Meanwhile, melt the nougat in a bowl over a water bath and mix in the whole salted peanuts. Spread the mixture over the dark chocolate layer, smooth it out, and return it to the fridge.

Melt the remaining dark chocolate in a bowl over a water bath and spread it over the chilled nougat layer. Sprinkle with freeze-dried raspberries. Chill until ready to serve.

Use a sharp, warm knife to cut the confection into pieces. Store in an airtight container in the fridge. They will keep for 1–2 weeks when refrigerated. Enjoy!
