We don&#8217;t eat much gravy during the year, but when Christmas time approaches, brown gravy is a must on the table. This recipe is the one we use in my family, and it really is the best gravy. To make it, you need some drippings from your <a href=\"https:\/\/frederikkewaerens.dk\/en\/pork-roast\/\">pork roast<\/a>. The drippings are the liquid that drips down from the pork roast when it&#8217;s in the oven.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>The best brown gravy recipe for pork roast<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>This is a baked gravy, and it gets so nice and shiny. There are generally two ways to make gravy in general. You can make a baked gravy (like this one) or a gravy with flour thickening. When your pork roast is almost done, and a lot of delicious fat and drippings have dripped into the roasting pan, you should take it out and pour it into a separate bowl. You should let it stand for a while until you can see that the top part hardens. It&#8217;s the fat that hardens here.<\/p>\n<p>We don&#8217;t want a brown gravy that&#8217;s too thick, so we&#8217;ll mostly use the drippings and not the fat that&#8217;s on top. If you&#8217;re having a hard time seeing what&#8217;s drippings and what&#8217;s fat, you can add a little sauce coloring. You&#8217;ll see that only the drippings will turn brown.
